On a bi-monthly basis the CC posts new Reflections, which consist of observations and reflections from animal rights and vegan scholars and activists that relate to the mission of the CC. We have just now posted our reflections for September. One of these is posted below (I apologize that this particular Reflection is from me, but as you might expect I really like my own writing):

I am often accused of caring for non-human animals as much as I care for humans, and of believing that non-human animals are equal to humans in terms of their spirituality and souls. Well, let’s do a brief review of the sordid history of the human species for the last several hundred years. Non-human animals have never attempted to eliminate an entire group of other humans, as was done during the Holocaust. Non-human animals have never committed the largest genocide in history, as was done by Europeans against the indigenous peoples of the Americas. Non-human animals have never held an entire race of humans in the bondage of slavery as was done to the Africans captured and transported to the United States. Non-human animals have never stormed an elementary school armed with a military-style rifle and massacred innocent young children. So, let me ask you: Are non-human animals at least equal to humans … or is it possible that non-human animals are in fact infinitely superior to humans in all respects, except intellectual ability?

As you are probably aware, we start each service with a reading of the CC Tenets of Agreement by someone who is involved with the CC. Tenets of Agreement | Compassion Consortium.

We like to offer this opportunity to our members first. If any of you have an interest in reading these Tenets at a future service, please let us know and we will contact you.

Specifically, we are seeking someone who would like to read the Tenets this Sunday August 28. So, if you will be able to attend and would be interested in doing the reading, please let us know.

Below are a couple of interviews with Supreme Master TV that you can watch if you have time. To be honest, when Supreme Master TV contacted me, I was not very familiar with Supreme Master -- Victoria has done several interviews with Supreme Master TV, but I didn't really know much about her. And I was curious why Supreme Master Ching Hai would refer to herself as "Supreme Master". This seemed somewhat unusual to me at first.

But on the other hand, there are those among you who think it to be somewhat unusual for me to wear a robe that I purchased on Amazon.com for $24.99 and refer to myself as the Mad Vegan Prophet.

So, let's just agree that we all have different paths. And perhaps someday there can be a new podcast titled "Supreme Master and the Mad Vegan Prophet Podcast".

As I learned more about Supreme Master, I realized that she is a true spiritual leader, and that she does a tremendous amount of good globally for animals and Veganism. Not only does she have her worldwide Supreme Master TV, and 2 million Vegan followers, but also 200+ vegan Loving Hut restaurants around the world (I have had the pleasure of dining at the NYC and Bangkok locations)

So, I was very honored and proud and to do these interviews for Supreme Master TV.

(Full disclosure - I have not viewed these because I never watch myself on video, but Rev. Sarah and Victoria assure me that I did not embarrass myself or the Compassion Consortium).

These are 30 minutes each, so you may not have time to watch them, but here they are in case you time and interest:
